- Pray for United States wisdom in dealing with China. Chinese President, Xi Jinping, told U.S. President, Donald Trump, that there is much to be obtained through cooperation and working together to avoid military confrontation. However, China is supplying military arsenals to those against the United States, and may be expanding their nuclear warhead production sites. - Pray for Israel. Pray for Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he will travel to New York, U.S. to address the United Nations General Assembly on September 23rd. Amid the possibilities of political threats and protest, the Prime Minister feels it is a time to address accusations and defend Israel’s rights to protect its citizens and military operations to minimize terrorist activity. He feels Israel has the right to exist and defend. Pray for his safety

- Pray for Ukraine and Russia as war continues. Continue to pray for this war to end. Following efforts for a diplomatic solution between Russia and Ukraine, attacks continued as Russia sent powerful drones and missiles into Kyiv. - Continue prayers for Ukraine. Russian drones struck a Ukrainian shopping center on August 21, leaving sixteen people dead and injuring one hundred thirty people, including twenty-three children. Ukraine seeks help from the “Coalition of the Willing,” a British and French led group of countries supporting Ukraine. Pray for this war to end as Europe remains on alert as the fighting continues. - Pray for people in Columbia, South America. A powerful earthquake struck Columbia last week, killing at least one hundred sixty-four people, destroying buildings, and disrupting airports. Pray for those who lost loved ones, for the injured, for the rescue workers, and for the rebuilding from the devastation. - Pray for relief from heatwaves and wildfires. Last weekend six hundred structures were burned in Spokane, Washington, U.S., due to wildfires. Pray for those who have lost their homes and businesses and pray for the Northwest United States as heat and poor air quality persists. - Pray as tensions rise and war and threats of war remain. As the Russian/Ukraine war continues, Romania shot down a Russian drone that entered its air space last week and Poland also reported Russian drone missiles in their air space. - Pray for wildfires to be contained. Pray for residents and firefighters as Southern Europe experiences massive wildfires in Southern France, Portugal, Spain, and Greece. - Pray for an end to Ebola virus outbreak. An outbreak of the Bundibugyo Ebola virus, a deadly strain, in Congo and Uganda has called for a health emergency. There have been around eighty suspected deaths from the virus, and several hundred others have been infected. Pray for this virus to be contained and that those infected can recover. - Pray for churches in Ukraine. The Evangelical Churches are growing in Ukraine as the war continues. One hundred six new churches have started over the past four years and over thirteen thousand people have been baptized. As war and uncertainty surround people in Ukraine, they are searching for hope and “they’re finding that faith in Christ is the only anchor in the storm,” as reported in Worthy News last week. - Pray for the Middle East. Regional tensions could reach a tipping point soon. Agreements between the United States and Iran remain unclear. Thursday night the US launched retaliating strikes against Iran after attacks were made on US Navy destroyers transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The US has sent Israel and other Middle East allies additional military supplies and Israel has strengthened its air squadrons. Pray for an end to this fighting, for righteous leadership

- Continue prayers for the United States and Iran. As sticking points remain, Iran’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, plans to safeguard its nuclear and missile capabilities as a national asset. Failure to sign a nonnuclear deal and Iran’s hardened stance against the United State brings a warning from President Trump of intensified military strikes. Iran threatens military strikes against US and Khamenei stated that American forces have no place in the Persian Gulf.

- Pray for Christians in Britain. Despite religious freedom, United Kingdom Evangelicals are noting a rise in hostility toward Christianity. As thoughts on moral issues of sexuality and gender change, some Christians are concerned about sharing their beliefs.
