-          Continue prayers for the United States and Iran.

As sticking points remain, Iran’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, plans to safeguard its nuclear and missile capabilities as a national asset. Failure to sign a nonnuclear deal and Iran’s hardened stance against the United State brings a warning from President Trump of intensified military strikes. Iran threatens military strikes against US and Khamenei stated that American forces have no place in the Persian Gulf. Pray for agreements to be reached that will benefit nations, pray for protection of the military, and pray for protection over innocent civilians. Pray for righteous leadership in Iran.

Proverbs 14:11,12 – “The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish. There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death.”

-          Continue prayers for Israel.

Tensions intensified this past week as the ceasefire was violated, and Hezbollah fired rockets and drones into Israeli territory. Israel retaliated and the fighting continues. Pray for peace in Israel, pray for an end to terrorism.

Psalm 96:10 – “Say among the nations, The Lord reigns. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”

-          Continue to pray for Nigeria.

The Islamic State attacked a village last Sunday killing at least twenty-nine people. The assault was, in part, to “impose strict Islamic rule in parts of the country.” For more than two decades, thousands of Christians and others, have been killed, pray for Islamist insurgency to end. As new reports emerge of these deadly attacks, over three hundred militants, affiliated with the Islamic State West Africa Province, have been convicted after years of insurgency and violence. Pray that the government will continue to bring down the militants and protect the people of Nigeria.

Mark 13:13 – “All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

Isaiah 13:11 – “I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.”

-          Pray for Christians in Egypt.

Pray for converts from Islam to Christianity as they face pressures in the form of family rejection, state scrutiny, and in some cases prosecution and persecution. Despite the challenges they face, the underground church continues to endure and grow.

Psalm 97:10 – “Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.”

-          Pray for those who mourn.

Twenty people were killed and thirty-six injured in southwestern Columbia in a bus bombing. Columbia has seen a surge of violence as illegal armed groups compete for control of coca cultivation zones.

Fourteen people were killed and dozens injured in a train collision in Jakarta, Indonesia. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident, human error, technical failures, or infrastructure weaknesses.

Pray for the families and loved ones of all who are morning the loss of loved ones.

Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Lamentations 3:22,23 – “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new very morning; great is your faithfulness.”

 -          Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
