- Pray for South Africa.
Amid widespread gang violence and organized crime, twenty-seven people were
killed and twenty-seven injured after two shootings last Saturday. Pray for those
who lost loved ones, pray for healing for those injured, and pray for the violence
and criminal activity to end in South Africa.
Isaiah 59:6b-8a – “Their deeds are evil deeds, and acts of violence are in
their hands. Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood.
Their thoughts are evil thoughts; ruin and destruction mark their ways. The
way of peace they do not know; there is not justice in their paths.”
Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
- Continue prayers for Russian/Ukraine war to end.
As winter approaches, there has been an increase in targeting energy
infrastructure. Attacks continue as peace talks diminish. Concerns grow as
Moscow threatens use of nuclear weapons if Western military alliances attempt
to cut off Kaliningrad, a heavily militarized Russian exclave on the Baltic Sea.
Pray for the end, not an expansion of this war.
Galatians 6:7-9 – “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man
reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that
nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from
the spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for
at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
- Pray for the Middle East.
The United States has deployed additional troops to the Middle East to defend
American forces, protect shipping, and intercept Iranian missiles and drones.
Pray for protection of the troops and pray that this action will bring peace with
Iran and not war.
Proverbs 24:5,6 – “A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge
increases strength; for waging war you need guidance, and for victory
many advisers.”
Proverbs 24:14 – “Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find
it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”
- Praise for the rescinding of Title IX.
The Trump administration, U.S., rescinded the Biden’s administration, 2024 Title
IX regulation, restoring the 2020 regulation and moving forward with a federal
definition of sex based on biological male and female classifications. As we lift
prayers to the Lord let us also lift praise when truth is walked out.
Genesis 1:27, 28a – “So god created man in his own image, in the image
of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed
them and said to them, Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth
and subdue it.”
- Pray against growing apostasy.
In March, an Episcopal priest declared his belief that “God is Trans,” in New York
City during a “Celebration of Trans Joy and Resilience.” God’s Word, the Bible,
specifically told Mary she would bring forth a son, read the Gospel of Luke. Pray
for people to read the Word and gain wisdom and understanding of the truth.
Pray for those professing to be Christians as in 1st Timothy the Word says that “in
later times some will abandon the faith” Pray for Christians to be steadfast in the
truth and pray for more to accept Christ and the Word.
2 Timothy 4:3,4 – “For the time will come when men will not put up with
sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around
them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to
hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”
- Pray for abortions to end everywhere.
Pray for hearts to change and for parents to desire life. Pray that all mothers will
desire to bring forth the life God has created in them.
Psalm 139:13-16 – “For you created my inmost being; you knit me
together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My
frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my
unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
