- Pray for the Russian/Ukrainian War to end. A Russian hypersonic ballistic missile attack on Kyiv occurred on Pentecost Sunday. This was the heaviest assault since the beginning of the invasion, killing at least four people and injuring one hundred others. - Pray for an end to Ebola virus outbreak. An outbreak of the Bundibugyo Ebola virus, a deadly strain, in Congo and Uganda has called for a health emergency. There have been around eighty suspected deaths from the virus, and several hundred others have been infected. Pray for this virus to be contained and that those infected can recover. - Pray for churches in Ukraine. The Evangelical Churches are growing in Ukraine as the war continues. One hundred six new churches have started over the past four years and over thirteen thousand people have been baptized. As war and uncertainty surround people in Ukraine, they are searching for hope and “they’re finding that faith in Christ is the only anchor in the storm,” as reported in Worthy News last week. - Pray for the Middle East. Regional tensions could reach a tipping point soon. Agreements between the United States and Iran remain unclear. Thursday night the US launched retaliating strikes against Iran after attacks were made on US Navy destroyers transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The US has sent Israel and other Middle East allies additional military supplies and Israel has strengthened its air squadrons. Pray for an end to this fighting, for righteous leadership

- Continue prayers for the United States and Iran. As sticking points remain, Iran’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, plans to safeguard its nuclear and missile capabilities as a national asset. Failure to sign a nonnuclear deal and Iran’s hardened stance against the United State brings a warning from President Trump of intensified military strikes. Iran threatens military strikes against US and Khamenei stated that American forces have no place in the Persian Gulf.

- Pray for Christians in Britain. Despite religious freedom, United Kingdom Evangelicals are noting a rise in hostility toward Christianity. As thoughts on moral issues of sexuality and gender change, some Christians are concerned about sharing their beliefs.
