- Pray for Indonesia.
An earthquake on Flores Island left at least sixty-eight people dead and over two hundred injured. Five thousand people have been displaced as many facilities were damaged and/or destroyed. Pray for those who lost loved ones and homes.
John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
- Pray for educational facilities as schools begin fall semesters.
Pray for healing of five people injured in a shooting at Virginia State University, U.S. Pray for protection over students everywhere, that school facilities will be safe from violence. Also pray for a return to educational curriculums that are not focused on agendas in opposition to God’s Word. Pray for students to be protected physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Psalm 91:3,4 – “Surely, he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
- Pray for Europe as wildfire continue.
In Belgium seven thousand four hundred acres of nature reserve burned as hundreds of emergency workers were deployed. Many residents and tourists were ordered to leave the area. Deadly blazes are raging throughout Europe, including Greece where forty-one thousand acres were burned. Pray for those displaced, for the fire fighters, and for rain and cooler temperatures.
Isaiah 43:2,3 – “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
- Pray for Supreme Court ruling in the United States.
The state of Texas has asked the Supreme Court to review a law requiring that the Ten Commandments be displayed in public school classrooms. Pray for a positive outcome on this request and that they will recognize the Ten Commandments as part of America’s historical and moral tradition and that they can be posted in public schools.
Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
- Pray for the growing concerns as the Russian/Ukrainian war continues.
Neighboring countries have rising concerns as Russian drones and missiles are striking beyond the front line. Pray against North Korea as they deepen ties with Russia and have deployed troops to Russia. North Korea also launched missiles toward eastern water last week, showing force after President Trump scaled back United States/South Korea military drills. North Korea is not a friend to Christians as they are listed as Number One on the World Watch List where Christians face the most severe persecutions and discrimination.
Psalm 31:23,24 – “Love the Lord, all his saints! The Lord preserves the faithful, but the proud he pays back in full. Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”
Psalm 32:10 – “Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.”
- Pray for Central African Republic.
A gold mine collapsed in Bangui, western Central African Republic last week killing over one hundred people with others still missing. It is believed the disaster started with the collapse of several tunnels. The mine provides work in a depressed area and there is little protective equipment provided and they lack adequate safety measures. Pray for the families who have lost loved ones and pray for the livelihood of those families.
Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
- Continue to pray for Christians in Nigeria.
At least twenty-five people were killed during a night attack in central Nigeria last week. The continued attacks affect Christian farming communities. Keep the families who have lost loved one in our prayers and pray for protection and of Christians for their ability to remain strong in the Lord.
Psalm 35:1,2 – “Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me. Take up shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
