- Pray for the Middle East as tensions rise.
The US and Iran memorandum of understanding collapsed, and the US continues strikes against Iran. Iran has also launched assaults against America and aligned Gulf nations, and several Gulf states join the campaign against Iran. President Trump is determined to keep the Strait of Hormuz open for commercial shipping. Keep this conflict in your prayers, praying for righteousness to reign and for the people of Iran to live in freedom.
Psalm 7:9 – “O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.”
- Pray for affected areas where heatwaves and wildfires continue,
Pray for Europe as heat related deaths continue and pray for Spain, Canada, and Algeria as wildfires wreak havoc. Twelve are dead, twenty-three missing, and eight hundred residents and tourists were evacuated as hundreds of fire fighters battle wildfires where seven thousand, seven hundred eighty acres of forest and farmland have been scorched. At least eleven people died and nineteen injured in a fire at a state-run child welfare home in Algeria, Africa. Pray for rain in these areas and cooler temperatures that will bring relief to those suffering under these intense conditions.
Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
- Pray for Christians in China.
Persecution of Christians in China intensifies. “Christian who refuse Communist Party control face surveillance, raids, imprisonment, and demolition of church buildings.” Many Christians gather in independent “house churches” to avoid government control, but intimidation for these Christians is increasing. Pray protection for these believers and pray for strength and courage to stand on the Word as the government presses in on them.
Matthew 5:10 – “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
- Pray for the families who lost loved ones in Thailand.
Twenty-seven people were killed in a bar fire in Bangkok and sixty -three others injured. Pray for those who mourn the loss of loved ones. Pray for those injured and pray for safety codes to improve worldwide eliminating some of these potential disasters.
Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
- Continue prayers for those facing natural disasters.
Flooding and landslides, caused by torrential monsoon rains in Bangladesh has affected over a million people. Pray for those who have lost loved ones and pray that rescue teams can get medical supplies, clean water, and food to those in need.
Typhoon Bavi displaces over two million people in China and has caused problems in the Japanese Island, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Vietnam has also been experiencing landslides. Pray for all those affected by these events.
Psalm 46:1-3 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”
- Praise Report, Evangelical Revival sweeps the Amazon.
No roads, celebrity preaches or large church buildings, and one of the most remote territories on earth yet thousands are publicly declaring Jesus Christ is Lord. “It was planted through decades of prayer, personal sacrifice, dangerous journeys, and faithful missionaries willing to go where few others would go.” Pray for thousands more to accept Jesus and pray for missionaries around the world who are willing to leave their homes and spread the Good News to a dying world.
Mark 16:15 – “He said to them, go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
