-          Pray for Venezuela.

Pray for the people of Venezuela, as the earthquake death toll totals near two thousand with many people injured and many still missing. Pray for families who have lost loved ones. Pray for provision of humanitarian aid to include shelter, blankets, hygiene supplies, and safe drinking water. Pray for the rebuilding of homes and businesses destroyed.

              Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

-          Pray for relief of extreme heat in Europe.

A thousand people have died in France and one thousand twenty-nine are dead in Spain linked to extreme heat. Hungary, Amsterdam, Germany, and the Czech Republic are also experiencing extreme temperatures. Drownings and violent thunderstorms add to the heat related deaths. Three thousand people were evacuated in Southern France due to wildfires, starting earlier this season due to the unusual heatwave. Pray for families that have lost loved ones and for those fighting the wildfires. Pray that people will use wisdom as they navigate the extremely hot weather.

         Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

Romans 8:18 – “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth

comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

Psalm 74:16,17 – “The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon. It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you make both summer and winter.”

-          Continue prayers for the Middle East.

Tensions escalated this past week as Iran warned oil tankers, they must have Tehran approved routs in the Strait of Hormuz. This came after the United States have emphasized free flow of commerce through the strategic waterway.

Proverbs 14:12, 16 – “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death. A wise man fears the Lord and shuns evil, but a fool is hotheaded and reckless.

-          Pray for peace as the Russian and Ukrainian war continues.

Russia escalates air war with drones and missiles. An attack on Kyiv destroyed a Red Cross Aid Hub killing twenty-seven people and injuring over ninety others. Over three hundred thousand humanitarian relief items and emergency response equipment were destroyed. Pray for those who lost loved ones, pray healing for the injured, and pray for needed supplies to be made available to those in need. There is a growing concern over Russian drone warfare, that they may be preparing for war with NATO.

Proverbs 17:4,5 – “A wicked man listens to evil lips; a liar pays attention to a malicious tongue. He who mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.

-          Pray for the United States of America.

As the United States celebrates 250 years as a nation, pray for wise leadership, unity among countrymen, and a revival with a return to God.

Psalm 133:1-3 – “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there, the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

 -          Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
