-          Pray for relief from heatwaves and wildfires.

Last weekend six hundred structures were burned in Spokane, Washington, U.S., due to wildfires.  Pray for those who have lost their homes and businesses and pray for the Northwest United States as heat and poor air quality persists.

Central Europe reports that low water levels are straining electricity supplies and creating an energy crisis due to the heatwave and lack of rain. Pray for rain and cooler temperatures where needed and restoration of resources and lives affected.

Psalm 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

-          Pray for Ukraine.

As war continues, Russia revived blockades of Black Sea ports threatening Ukraine’s agricultural economy and creating concerns over global food supplies. Pray for the food supply in question and pray for the end of this ongoing war.

Psalm 17:13,14 – “Rise up, O Lord, confront them, bring them down; rescue me from the wicked by your sword. O Lord, by your hand save me from such men, from men of this world whose reward is in this life.”

-          Pray as tensions continue in the Middle East.

President Trump and the U.S. wait on agreements from Iran on protection of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and addressing nuclear ambitions. The U.S. waits not in weakness but to save innocent lives. Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic regime accelerates execution of protesters in a crackdown effort to prevent another nationwide uprising. Pray for Christians and innocent people in Iran and for a righteous government and for agreements to take place for the good of all nations.

Proverbs 20:18 – “Make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance.”

Psalm 9:17-20 – “The wicked return to the grave, all the nations that forget God. But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish. Arise, O Lord, let not man triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence. Strike them with terror, O Lord; let the nations know they are but men.”

-          Pray for Department of Justice lawsuit filed against new Maryland (U.S.) gun-control ordinance.

A new gun-control ordinance in Montgomery County, Maryland, restricts licensed citizens from carrying firearms around churches, schools, parks, libraries, and other public locations. This ordinance would violate the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which protects the right to keep and bear arms. The ordinance might stop law abiding citizens from carrying but would it stop those intending harm?

Pray for wisdom concerning the Second Amendment and for those entrusted with licenses to own and carry firearms.

Job 5:12 and 13(b) – “He thwarts the plans of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success. And the schemes of the wily are swept away.”

-          Pray for the Revival of the Church, “The Bride of Christ”.

The symbolism of Christ coming back for his bride, which is the body of believers known as the church, is used to illustrate when he returns and gathers his bride to reign with him. In Revelation 19:6(b) and 7 – “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.”  Pray that the church will be revived and ready.  Pray for the church to repent of our transgressions and come back to our first love and walk in the ways of the Lord, being the light of Jesus to a broken world and spreading the Good News.

Romans 13:12) – “And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

 -          Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
