- Pray for Christians in Britain.
Despite religious freedom, United Kingdom Evangelicals are noting a rise in hostility toward Christianity. As thoughts on moral issues of sexuality and gender change, some Christians are concerned about sharing their beliefs. There have been several instances where pastors/Christians, who have been preaching the Gospel in public, have been detained or warned to cease preaching upsetting messages (Biblical truths) openly causing people to contact law enforcement.
Pray for Britain to embrace Christianity and for Christians to be bold and speak and/or continue to share the Gospel.
Matthew 5:10-12 – “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
- Pray for the Middle East conflicts to settle and for righteous leaders.
Despite extended ceasefire, allowing time for more negotiations, with the Strait of Hormuz sealed, in an attempt to force Tehran into a negotiated settlement, tensions heightened. US President Trump ordered any vessel attempting to lay mines in the Strait to be shot and killed. Pray that an agreement can be reached and Iran will put an end to its nuclear program and that righteous government can take control of this country and serve the people justly.
Proverbs 6:12-19 – “A troublemaker and a villain, who goes about with a corrupt mouth, who winks maliciously with his eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers, who plots evil with deceit in his heart, he always stirs up conflict. Therefore, disaster will overtake him in an instant; he will suddenly be destroyed, without remedy. There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him, haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hand that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
- Pray for Israel as it promotes a massive Pride Festival.
The largest Middle East Pride Festival is being planned for June 1st through June 4th, with the expectation of transforming a “section of the Judean Desert into a temporary entertainment hub.” Event producer, Aaron Cohen, describes this as not just a festival but “We are building something that lives and breathes day and night.” The location for the event is believed to be on the site of Sodom and Gomorrah. Critics view this as a mockery of God, but others view it as the increasing moral decline. Pray for Israel, that they might rethink this event as found in Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived: God Cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Pray for all to repent and be obedient to the Lord.
Leviticus 20:13a – If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.”
Genesis 18 20 – “Then the Lord said, The outcry against Sodom and
Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous.”
Ephesians 5:11,15-17 – “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness but rather expose them. Be very careful, then, how you live, not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
