Ukraine responded with strikes deep inside Russia. Russian officials rejected calls for a Christmas ceasefire and even though peace talks continue, there is no sign to the end of this war. Following recent flooding, which killed over nine hundred people on Sumatra Island, with many still missing, leaves Indonesia filled with sorrow. This deadliest natural disaster of the year has left at least one hundred, fourteen people dead and twenty-seven hundred missing. Pray for Jamaica that was hit by Hurricane Melissa this past week, a monstrous storm causing havoc to Jamaica and surrounding areas. 500,000 people are without power, and hospitals, residents, commercial properties, roads, and infrastructure have been damaged. Weather conditions continue to plague these countries as Typhoon Bualoi brought floods and landslides killing at least fifty-one people in Vietnam and twenty in the Philippines. 200,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed and more than 87,000 hectares of rice and crops destroyed.
