- Continue Prayers for Ukraine.
Russian strikes on energy infrastructures was reported to have killed four civilians and injured over a dozen others and resulted in widespread power outages. Ukraine responded with strikes deep inside Russia. Russian officials rejected calls for a Christmas ceasefire and even though peace talks continue, there is no sign to the end of this war. Pray for those who have lost loved ones, for those injured, and for those who have no power during the frigid winter. Pray for peace.
Psalm 91:5,6,8 – “You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.”
- Pray for Christians in China.
As many of us enjoy celebrating Christmas and the season with our family and friends, pray for the Christians in China where services were blocked and authorities warned against Christmas celebrations, social media posts, and public displays. Home gatherings were prohibited and decorations were confiscated. Pray for those being persecuted for their faith in Christ and praise God if you have freedom to worship God openly and can say “Merry Christmas” without fear of retaliation.
2 Thessalonians 2:4 – “He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple proclaiming himself to be God.”
- Pray for United States as they target ISIS terrorists in Syria.
Pray for the loss of two U.S. service staff and one civilian interpreter and three injured service members after an attacked by suspected ISIS. The U.S. military conducted a massive attack of drone strikes against more than seventy Islamic State (ISIS) targets. The U.S. is striking out against terrorism and Syrian authorities indicated that President Bashar al-Assad is opposed to ISIS activity and stands by the “goal of preventing the extremist group from re-establishing safe haven on Syrian territory.” Pray for the U.S. troops deployed in Syria. Pray for an end to this terrorist activity.
Romans 12:21 – “Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.”
- Praise God for children freed in Nigeria.
One hundred-thirty more children from the Nigerian School abductions last month have been freed. Some of the children were malnourished or in shock, but they are back with their families. Pray for recovery of the children from this horrific event.
Christian and Muslins have been victimized in Nigeria for years, but Christian institutions, schools, and clergy are often singled out. Pray for Christian to be bold in continuing to spread the Good News of the Gospel and pray for their protection.
Psalm 34:19,21,22 – “A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all. Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.”
Happy New Year
May you and your loved ones be blessed in 2026.
May you be the hands and feet of Jesus in this troubled world
and spread the Word until all have heard.
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
