- Pray for Israel.
Israel experienced intense attacks from Iran and Hezbollah as they launched a barrage of missiles and drones on Israel. As the conflict continues in the Middle east, the danger increases as others coordinate with Iran.
Luke 1:51-55 – “He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, even as he said to our fathers.”
- Pray for Iran to have righteous leadership.
Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Iran’s late supreme leader was named as the Islamic Republic’s next ruler. It has been noted that he is “even more hard lined than his later father.” He was injured this past week, but is still capable of performing his duties, according to The Jerusalem Post. Pray for his removal from office and for righteous government to take over Iran. Pray for the Christians in Iran, to stand firm and provide aid to those in need.
Proverbs 11:7 – Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.”
Psalm 52:1-5 – “Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God? Your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor, you who practice deceit. You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. You love every harmful word, O you deceitful tongue. Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin; He will snatch you up and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living.”
- Pray for the Jewish people.
A wave of Antisemitic incidents in the United States, Canada, and throughout Europe has prompted heightened security. Synagogues and Jewish communities are under attack. Pray for their safety and for violent activity to stop.
Psalm 105:14.15 – “He allowed no to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings; do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”
- Pray for Mexico.
Pray for evangelical Christians in Mexico as they are experiencing renewed persecution after one of the country’s most notorious drug lords was killed in a U.S.-backed military operation. As evangelical Christians often refuse to cooperate with criminal groups or participate in some of the country’s traditional religious festivals, they have become more vulnerable to violate attacks. Pray for the deliverance of Mexico from cartel and other criminal activity and from traditional religious customs that involve idol worship and witchcraft. Pray for protection for Christians in Mexico and that the Good News will spread throughout the country.
Psalm 34:21,22 – “Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
