-          Pray for Jamaica.

Pray for Jamaica that was hit by Hurricane Melissa this past week, a monstrous storm causing havoc to Jamaica and surrounding areas. 500,000 people are without power, and hospitals, residents, commercial properties, roads, and infrastructure have been damaged. Pray for those who have lost loved ones and property due to this storm. Pray for the Red Cross and Samaritan’s Purse and other relief groups that are bringing aid to those in need.

Psalm 46:1-3 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble, therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, through its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

-          Pray for peace amid weapons being produced and perfected.

Russia tested its “nuclear-powered Burevestnik cruise missile” capable of piercing any defense shield, per reports from Moscow. Russian President Putin also boasted its test of “Poseidon nuclear-powered underwater drone.” U.S. President Trump declares that Putin “Should end the war in Ukraine, not test missiles.”

In Iran there is work being done with “underground nuclear expansion” and China is aiding with “rapid missile rebuilding,” despite United Nations sanctions. This activity is creating a renewed challenge to the United States and Jerusalem.

Pray for hearts to turn to Jesus and peace opposed to self-promotion, power, and war.

Psalm 33:10-12, 20 – “The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Blessed is the nations whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance. We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.”

-          Pray for Christians being persecuted around the world.

Pray for Mozambique as Islamic Militants killed scores of Christians in recent weeks. Along with the killings, numerous churches and homes have been burned leaving thousands displaced. ISIS is warning Christinas in Mozambique and elsewhere in African to convert to Islam and pay Islamic tax or face death.

Pray also for Christians in China as crackdowns on them intensify. Surveillance, forced Sinicization, imprisonment of church leaders, churches being sealed off, bank accounts frozen, and contact with legal aid blocked.

A partial quote from a detained Pastor in China; “May this persecution, like thorns that afflicted Paul, sharpen our courage and make our faith as solid as a rock.”

Pray for Christian to stand strong in their faith and to receive relief from these persecutions.

Psalm 27:1,2 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.”

1 Corinthians 15:58 – “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Mathew 5:11-12 – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
