- Prayers for the Philippines.
Continue prayers for the Philippines as super typhoon, Fung-Wong caused flooding, high winds and landslides, causing evacuations, deaths, and injuries. This storm followed on the heels of typhoon Kalmaegi and also caused damage in Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands of Japan. Pray for those who lost loved ones, those injured, and those who have lost their homes.
Psalm 75:3 – “When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm.”
- Pray for Iran as they face the worst drought in a century.
Pray for rain in Iran as they face a historic water crisis. Reservoir supplies are diminishing, and water rationing is taking place. If there is no rain by late November, people may have to evacuate from Tehran.
John 4:10,13,14 – “Jesus answered her, If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water. Jesus answered, everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
- Pray as tensions increase between the United States and Venezuela.
The USS Gerald R. Ford, the largest United States aircraft carrier arrived in waters near Latin American last week. Venezuela, in turn, launched massive nationwide military mobilization as they face “aggression” from Washington as at least nineteen strikes have been made in the Caribbean Seas since September. Washington is claiming the boats were operating drug trafficking and terrorist activity. Socialist Dictator, Nicolas Maduro, has aligned with Russia, China, and Iran concerning this issue. Pray for an end to drug and terrorist activity and pray that these military acts do not lead to a major conflict.
Psalm 75:6-8 – “No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt a man. But it is God who judges. He brings one down, he exalts another. In the hand of the Lord is a cup full of foaming wine mixed with spices; he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to its very dregs.”
- Continue to pray for Israel.
As Israeli attacks continue on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, pray for an end to terrorist activity and for peace in Israel.
Psalm 86:9,10 – “All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, O Lord, they will bring glory to your name. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.”
- Give thanks to the Lord.
Give thanks as the United Stats government shutdown ended this past week. Pray for continued funding so that another shutdown does not occur.
Also give praise as UniteUSTour experienced a revival where six thousand students came out to worship Jesus and hear the gospel at NC State University, in North Carolina, United States. Seventy-seven students were publicly baptized. This fall over forty thousand students have attended UniteUSTour university events throughout the United States.
As we come to the Lord with requests, let us also bring thanks before him.
Psalm 85:4,6 – “Restore us again, O God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us. Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?”
Psalm 100:4,5 – “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
