-          Pray for Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Severe monsoons, torrential rainfall, and landsides have killed many and have displaced hundreds of thousands of people over the past two weeks. Continuous downpours and high water make rescues difficult. People remain missing, homes, businesses, roadways, and other infrastructure have been destroyed. Pray for those who have lost loved ones, their homes, and livelihood. Pray for rescue workers providing aid to those in need.

Psalm 46:1-3 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

-          Pray for the end of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Attacks on both sides continue as do talks of peace and an end to this ongoing war. Pray for fair agreements to be reached and an end to the fighting, destruction, and death.

Romans 12:18 – “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

-          Pray for Nigeria.

At least three hundred and three students and twelve teachers were kidnapped from a Catholic school last week in Northwest Nigeria. Islamic gunmen are suspected of this violent act. Pray for families to be reunited and for these violent attacks to end in Nigeria. Christians remain at high risk as they continue to face targeted attacks.

Psalm 59:1,2 – “Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.”

-          Pray for United States National Guards patrolling in Wahington DC.

Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe were shot last week as they were patrolling in Washington D.C. Sarah Beckstrom died due to her injuries and Andrew Wolfe remains in critical condition. Pray for Sarah’s family and pray for Andrew’s recovery. Pray protection over all the National Guard Units trying to keep our country safe and for all military staff.

Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

Isaiah 53:5 – “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

Psalm 54:3,4 – “Strangers are attacking me; ruthless men seek my life, men without regard for God. Surely God is my help, the Lord is the one who sustains me.”

-          Pray for the Unsaved.

As we leave Thanksgiving Day behind, do not stop giving thanks to the Lord.

We are told in Psalm 92:1 – “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.” And as we move into the Christmas Season, pray for the unsaved that they may know Jesus as their Savior. We know that God does not want anyone to be left unsaved as we find in 2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”  So, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and enjoy time with family and friends, let us also lift up the unsaved that they will indeed discover the true meaning of Christmas this year.
