- Pray for the Middle east.
Last week the United States and Israel attacked Iran, as no agreement could be reached and Iran would not disband their nuclear program. Iran’s Leader, Supreme Ali Khamenei, was killed along with many other officials. Pray for U.S. and Israeli troops; wisdom and protection, pray for civilian safety, pray for just leadership to begin in Iran, and pray for the Christians in Iran, that their faith will grow strong at this time and that they can share the name of Jesus.
Pray that the Lord will go before the righteous as He destroys the wicked. Let our prayers be like the support of Arron and Hur to Moses in Exodus that the battle may be won.
Exodus 17:10-13 – “And Joshua did as Moses told him and fought against Amalek; and Moses, Arron, and Hur, went up to the top of the hill. So, it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy. Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other. Thus, his hands were steady until sunset. So, Johua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.”
- Pray against unrighteous leadership.
As events unfold in the Middle east, pray Russia reconsiders the war with Ukraine, where millions of military casualties have occurred along with thousands of civilian deaths. Pray China rethinks an attack to take over Taiwan and their persecution of Christians. Pray for hearts and priorities to change. Pray for all leaders to know that God rules the nations.
Job 12:23-24 – “He makes the nations great, then destroys them; He enlarges the nations, then leads them away. He deprives of intelligence the chiefs of the earth’s people And makes them wander in a pathless waste.”
- Pray for ruling to stand that Ten Commandments will be displayed in Louisiana public schools.
A federal appeals court ruled that Louisiana may begin enforcing the law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public school classrooms. Supporters are happy about the restoration and acknowledgement of moral principles that shaped our nation. Critics, on the other hand, see the battle as far from being over as they set the stage for a Supreme Court showdown to not allow religion in public education. Pray for God’s Commandments to be displayed in public educational facilities everywhere so all can know.
Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
