-          Continue prayers for the Philippines.

The Philippines experienced another earthquake last Friday, on the heals of the September 30th quake. Two people were killed, and several buildings were destroyed. Pray for those who have lost loved ones and for those who have lost their homes as they recover from these natural disasters.

Psalm 9:9 – “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”

-          Pray for Eastern Mexico flooding.

Torrential rains triggered landslides and historic flooding in Eastern Mexico. Sixty-six people have lost their lives and seventy-five are missing. 100,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed. Pray for those who have lost loved ones and pray for shelter for those who have lost their homes. This disaster has “reignited debate over the government decision to abolish Mexico’s Natural Disaster Fund.” The government is slow in cleaning up the area and many fear the onset of disease. Pray for cleanup and peace in this time of trouble.

Nehemiah 1:4 – “When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.”

-          Continue pray for United States Government Shut Down.

Pray that agreements can be reached to reopen the government. Pray for those with missing paychecks, for their provision, and for the mounting delay in services provided by the government that they can restart quickly.

Psalm 33:20-22 – “We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.”

-          Pray for St. Helena Island, South Carolina, United States.

Pray for the shocked community where a mass shooting occurred killing four people and injuring at least twenty more people. Pray for the families who lost loved ones and pray for healing for the injured.

Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

-          Praise God for the release of the last of the living Israeli hostages.

Pray for those that were held hostage for so long that they will heal emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Pray for the Gaza ceasefire pact, for the location and return of hostage remains, and for the Holy land and the Middle East to be at peace.

Continue prayers for an end to all terrorist activity.

Psalm 37:12 – “The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.”

 -          Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
