- Continue prayers for Iran.
As tensions continue to escalate in Iran, pray for a righteous government to rule the country and for God to reign. Pray as people begin to evacuate and pray for those left behind that they will be protected as they stand up for an end to dictatorship. Casualty figures vary, but there have been many pray for the families who have lost loved ones.
Isaiah 5:20,21 – “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.”
- Pray for Ukraine.
Pray for those in Ukraine struggling in freezing temperatures as Russia continues to launch drones and missiles into the country. Civilians were killed and wounded in this week’s attacks and more power sources targeted. Pray for this war to end and that the rulers will bring peace to these nations.
Psalm 7:9 – “O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.”
- Prayers for Thailand.
A train derailment leaves a death toll of at least thirty people, more as recovery continues, and over sixty people injured. Pray comfort for those who lost loved ones, pray healing for the injured, and pray for the government to address safety issues involving rail travel.
Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Matthew 14:14 – “When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.”
- Pray for Christians in China and India.
As crackdowns increase on underground churches, that refuse to align with the Communist Party ideology, and China stresses that religious activities must comply with Chinese law, pray for persecuted believers. Pray for believers in India as violence is growing at an alarming rate toward Christians.
Psalm 84:10,12 – “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. O Lord Almight, blessed is the man who trust in you.”
- Pray for Columbia, South America.
Pray for pastors and church leaders in Columbia. This country claims religious freedom, but Christian leaders are at risk as violence increases through criminal gangs, armed groups, drug trafficking, and local corruption. Pray for the family of Pastor Jose Ortega, who was shot and died on New Year’s Eve.
Psalm 86:14-17 – “The arrogant are attacking me O God; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, men without regard for you. But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Turn to me and have mercy on me; grant your strength to your servant and save the son of your maidservant. Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you O Lord, have helped me and comforted me.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
