Save a Life

“He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:15 & 16
This was the Great Commission from Jesus for the disciples, and for us, to share the Good News so that lives are changed and saved through the salvation from Jesus Christ. With so much unrest in our world today; war, political upheaval, disease, natural disasters, persecutions, and more, we need to ramp up our prayers for missionaries around the globe. We need to pray for their safety, their ability to preach the gospel, and for their, much needed, support as they spread the Good News to ‘save a life’.
As we lift up our missionaries in prayer, we need to remember that Jesus called us all to share the salvation story. How many of us have neighbors and family members headed for hell because they have not heard the Good News of salvation? We all need to go out and ‘save a life’. One of the questions posed by Priscilla Shirer, in her Faith and Fire Elijah bible study, is this: “. . .where do you commit the bulk of your resources – your time, your money, your words, your talents.” What of those things are you using to support our missionaries, to help them ‘save a life’? What of those things are you using to share the Good News and ‘save a life’?
“And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Luke 10:2
Pray for our missionaries, near and far, be a missionary where you are.
