In Ephesians 6:11 it instructs us to “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Paul continues in verse 13, “Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” After you have put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and shod your feet with the gospel of peace, then, pick up the shield of faith, put on the helmet of salvation, pick up the sword of the spirit and PRAY. Read Ephesians 6:10-18.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; . . .” John 10:10a. That thief is Satan, the devil, our real enemy. We are living in a world where we see evil all around us, the devil is at work. In the Bible Study, ‘The Armor of God,’ Priscilla Shirer has this to say about the devil, “The enemy may be invisible, but he is not fictional. He is very real, and very persistent, waging war against us constantly.” (page 11)

Satan does not want us to send up prayers to our Father for us to love one another, for peace in our homes, churches, and nations, or for His will to be done or for His Kingdom to come, Satan wants to steal, kill, and destroy.

We cannot continue to wring our hands and converse with each other about what we should do, we need to put on the Armor and Pray for God’s mercy, strength, and direction.

In Isaiah, chapters 36 and 37, read of the victory of Hezekiah, the king of Judah against Sennacherib, king of Assyria. Assyria was powerful, but our God is more powerful, and Isaiah delivered good news to Hezekiah; “. . .Because you have prayed. . .” Isaiah 37:21

Is God listening to us today?

The real question is: Are We Praying?

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Pray for Ukraine, pray for Afghanistan, pray for the end of Abortion, pray for Israel, pray for Revival, PRAY
