- Pray for those involved in and those who lost love ones in Greek’s deadliest known train
accident in the country’s and Europe’s recent history. The train derailed near Larissa, this past
week, killing at least 36 people and hospitalizing over 65 people, some with serious injuries.
Pray for healing and comfort.
2 Corinthians 1:3 and 4 – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so
that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received
from God.”
- As Russian airstrikes intensified this past week on Ukraine and the war rages on, pray for those
suffering the effects of this war and for this fighting to cease.
Hebrews 12:14 – “Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy;
without holiness no one will see the Lord.”
- Continue to pray for Turkey and Syria as they continue to face the devastation of the
earthquakes they suffered earlier this year. Pray for individual healing and restoration of their
land and pray many will come to know the Lord and place their hope in Him.
2 Corinthians 4:8 – “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but
not in despair.”
- In 2021, the United States recorded its highest level of antisemitic attacks in recent years. US
President Biden has vowed to ensure that “antisemitism has no place in America.” The White
House has set up an interagency group tasked with putting together the country’s first national
strategy for countering antisemitism. Pray that hatred and racism towards all mankind would
end.
Matthew 22:37 – 40: “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is to like it. ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the
Prophets had on these two commandments.”
Continue to pray for Ukraine.
