Pray for Israel

Israel, a land of promise, a land of war.

In Genesis 17: 7 and 8, God chose Abraham and made a covenant with him and his descendants to be their God and promised the him possession of the whole land of Canaan. Over 400 years later Moses delivered the Israelites out of Egypt, see Exodus 6: 7 and 8, and after wandering in the desert for 40 years, Joshua led God's people into the Promise Land. The Lord said to Joshua, "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.", Joshua 1:6. God's chosen people had arrived to the Promise Land. But this land has been at war throughout most of history as many try to claim this county for their own. God, however, chose the Jewish people and this promise land for His own and as others oppose Israel, we, the church, need to pray for God's chosen.
