- Pray for Israel.
Hezbollah, Palestinian Hamas, and Islamic Jihad terrorist groups met in Lebanon to unify efforts to attack the state of Israel. Seek wisdom from God’s word concerning Israel and pray for that nation.
Psalm 25:18-22 – “Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me! Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you Redeem Israel, O God from all their troubles!”
- Continue to pray for peace between Russia and Ukraine. Reports say Russia seeks to intensify its war against Ukraine. They apparently are seeking support from North Korea. Pray for this conflict to end and for all the lives that have been affected by the devastation of this war.
Psalm 34:14 – “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”
- Pray for Christian persecution to end.
Over a thousand Christians have been murdered by Islamic militants in 2023. Worldwide Christians continue to be killed, injured, kidnapped, suffer job lost, and discrimination. Pray for those being persecuted to stand strong against these attacks. And remember to give thanks if you are in a place where you can practice your Christian faith without persecution.
Mathew 5:11-12 – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
- Continue prayers for those facing natural disasters throughout the world. As Greece wildfires are contained, “a powerful storm system dropped more than 25 inches of rain in less than a day”, resulting in massive flooding. Heavy flooding is also accruing in other European countries, in Brazil and continues in part of the United States.
Psalm 9:9 – “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”
Continue to pray for Ukraine.
