- Pray for those recovering from Hurricane Helene.

Pray for those who lost loved ones due to the flooding and mudslides because of Hurricane Helene, as at least two-hundred thirteen people are dead, across six states, and the death toll is expected to rise. Also pray for the many who are homeless and lacking necessary supplies and for the many businesses that have suffered damage. Pray for rescue, for food, water, and shelter for those in need, and for restoration of towns, roads, and people’s lives.

Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

Psalm 46:1-3 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, through its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

Psalm 86:1-2 – “Hear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you.”

- Pray for the Longshoremen in the United States to be treated fairly and that there will be no further strikes.

Earlier in the week the Longshoremen Association strike threatened the US East and Gulf coast ports from Maine to Texas that could have caused food and material shortages and rising prices. The dock workers returned after a three-day strike, as companies offered a 62% wage increase to reopen ports. Pray that the companies will honor the Longshoremen/dock workers and provide them with fair wages to support themselves and their families.

Colossians 4:1 – “Master, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.’

Micah 6:8 – “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

- Pray for Israel.

As Israel continues air strikes and Iran launched approximately two hundred missiles at Israel this past week, pray for the protection of Israel, the protection of innocent victims of these events, and for the end of terrorist activity. Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister, warned, “that Israel will continue to fight till the Jewish nation can live in peace.” He stated that “Israel seeks peace; Israel yearns for peace,” but he added “that Israel must defend itself against “savage murderers.”

Romans 12:18 – “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

Psalm 97:10 – “Hate evil, you who love the Lord, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.”
