- Pray for protection and fresh encounters from God as Christians from around the world visit Israel.

Three thousand Christians are expected to arrive in Israel this weekend to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. Dr. Jurgen Buelher, president of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, prays that they will return home “…with a deeper love for this nation and a fresh inspiration from God…”

Zechariah 14:16 – “Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.”

- Pray for the physically and emotionally abused. Worthy News reports: “Ethiopia: Tigray conflict has left more than 10,000 survivors of sexual violence”. Although a peace treaty was signed, conflict continues, particularly in Tigray. In the past three years, ten thousand women and girls have been reported to have been systematically raped and violated sexually by military forces. Pray for a healing touch from Jesus to their bodies and emotions. Let the abused find peace in Jesus.

Matthew 4:23 – “Jesus ministered from place to place throughout all of the province of Galilee. He taught in the synagogues, preaching the hope of the kingdom realm and healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people.”

Psalm 113:5-7 – “Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who

stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth? He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap:”

- Pray for those fleeing their homes for their lives and for those under continued persecution. The “self-declared Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh”, controlled by Armenians for three decades, has been seized by Azerbaijan. “Fearing for their lives, more than half of Nagorno-Karabakh’s mainly Christian Armenians have now fled their volatile enclave, officials said.” Pray for these people along with those in India, Nigeria, Myanmar, and many other countries around the world where Christians are being persecuted.

Psalm 27:1 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?”

Deuteronomy 31:8 – “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

- Pray for the United States Government.

The United States government is facing the possibility of shutdown leaving millions of workers without pay effective October 1, 2023. This event would strip the government down to the most basic functions leaving a void in services to many and provision for employees.

Psalm 118:6 – “Now I know, Lord, that you are for me, and I will never fear what man can do to me.”

- Pray for those suffering the loss of loved ones and pray for those hurting to come to the Lord. As people gathered at two mosques, in Pakistan. to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammad, at least fifty-seven people were killed and more injured by suicide bombings. Have a heart of compassion for these people and pray that as they mourn, they may find, hope, joy, and salvation in Jesus.

Mark 16:15 – “He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all

creation.”

Matthew 1:21 – “She will give birth to a son and you are to name him “Savior,” for he is destined to give his life to save his people from their sins.

Colossians 2:13-14 – “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.”

Continue to pray for Ukraine.
