- Guam was hit by Typhoon, Mawar, on Wednesday, May 24. This was the strongest storm to hit

the area in decades. Italy, Croatia, and Bosnia experienced Apocalyptic flooding last week. Pray

for all people who have been displaced, lost loved ones, and have had properties destroyed.

Psalm 72:12 – “For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one

to help.”

- Lift up prayers as Christian persecutions continue in Myanmar and Nigeria. Loved ones, homes,

and properties have been lost, churches burned, and in some areas horrendous violence

continues. Pray for their steadfastness and perseverance.

James 1:12 – “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has

stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who

love him.”

- Nearly half of Jewish Israelis do not believe the Messiah is coming. A survey conducted at the

University of Chicago reports only about half of Americans are sure God exists. We need to pray

for the lost and pray for pastors and missionaries worldwide to spread the Good News. We need

to be prepared to join in the broadcast and reach the lost around us.

Matthew 9:37-38 – “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the

workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his

harvest field.”

- Pray for your pastor and pastors everywhere. A Lifeway Research survey reports most pastors

are “extremely stressed”. For specific prayer directions see Worthy News Brief Wednesday, May

24, 2023. We need to pray for and pray protection over our pastors as they are prime targets

for Satan to attack.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 – Finally brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may

spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be

delivered from wicked and evil…”
