-          Pray for those facing natural disasters.

More than one hundred blazes were burning across Canada last week and hundreds of residents were evacuated. The hazardous smoke is causing special air quality alerts.

In the United States, Texas and Louisiana are experiencing storms with hurricane force winds and flooding. At least four people are dead and there has been a lot of destruction in the path of these storms.

At least fifty-two people were killed in flash floods and mudslides in Indonesia this past week and over 3,000 people were evacuated. Heavy rains are expected to continue this week with the potential for additional flooding and more landslides.

Pray for those who have lost loved ones. Pray for those who have lost homes, property, and/or businesses. Pray for those who had to evacuate their homes, that they will find shelter and the necessities needed to survive.

              Psalm 9:9 – “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”

-          Pray for persecuted Christians.

Christians in Latin American are facing an increase in persecutions, specifically in Cuba, Mexico, and Nicaragua, as religious activities and expressions are being restricted and harassment has intensified.

Matthew 5:11-12 – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

-          Pray for Anti-Semitic activities to end.

The Wall of the Righteous Holocaust Memorial, in France, was defaced with antisemitic graffiti. The memorial “commemorates 3,900 people who risked their lives to help save Jews from the Nazi occupation of France in World War II.”  An investigation is underway and French President Macron condemns this act and views it as undermining “the memory of these heroes as well as that of the victims of the Shoah” (the Holocaust). There has been an acceleration of crimes against Jews in France since the October 7th attack on Israel, as has been seen in many other countries. Pray for protection for the Jewish people and for these attacks to stop.

1 Samuel 12:20b-22 – “do not turn away from the Lord but serve the Lord with all your heart. Do not turn away after useless idols. They can do you no good, nor can they rescue you, because they are useless. For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.”

Continue to pray for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, and Haiti. Pray for the unsaved. Pray for Revival in your land.
