- Pray for our children. Parents, grandparents, the church community, all need to be praying for
protection for our children of all ages. Pray for the end of assaults on their identities, their
innocence, their bodies, and their very lives. From the womb through young adulthood, we need
to be aware of what is happening to our children, we must speak out for their protection, and
we must pray for them.
Luke 18:16 – “But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come
to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
- Pray for your church and thank God if you have the privilege to worship Him with others openly.
Pray for India’s state of Manipur, as 25 churches were burned down during Hindu nationalist
violence this month. Also, six people were killed. Ethnic violence is rising due to the diverse
communities and resource and economic interests. However, church leaders view the burning of
churches to be fueled by religious hatred.
Hebrews 10:25 – “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of
doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day
approaching.”
- Pray for Israel. Hundreds of rockets were fired into Israel by Palestinian militants last week. Per
George Whitten, Worthy News founder and director, people were evacuated from some areas,
some towns were placed on high alert, and some schools were closed. He reports, “Rockets are
flying through the skies of Israel and many are landing on the ground.” George appreciated the
expressions of people around the world sending support through their prayers. George
continues, “In time like these the best and the worst are brought out in people: either the
peace, confidence, and strength which come from faith, or the fear and panic which overwhelms
the souls of worldly men.” As the prospect for war in the middle east increases daily, pray for
God to intervene, pray for those who need salvation, and pray for peace and strength for
Christians.
Psalm 91:5 – “You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,”
Matthew 25:13 – “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the
hour.”
