- The state of Wyoming, (United States) passed a first of its kind law banning the sale and use of
abortion pills, used to terminate early pregnancies, to be effective July 1, 2023. Meanwhile
California strives to protect doctors for mailing abortion pills out of state. The battle over
abortion continues, pray for changed hearts and for parents to want their children.
Psalm 127: 3-5a: “Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like
arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is a man whose
quiver is full of them.” (A full quiver/house of children was reckoned a great temporal
blessing and happiness – let parents feel this way once more).
- Tensions rise as the U.S. military launched a military air strike in Syrian this past week after an
Iran-aligned groups spearheaded a drone attach killing an American contractor and wounding
another along with five members of U.S. troops.
- Israel is closer to launching a military strike in Iran due to Iran’s expanding nuclear program. An
attack would be bad for everyone, but could happen within the year.
- “Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Wednesday that the risk of a nuclear
clash was in its highest level in decades waring that Moscow was in a “de-facto” open conflict
with Washington over the war in Ukraine.”
Pray at no more wars break out and pray for the war between Russia and Ukraine to end.
Romans 12:18 – “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with
everyone.”
- As Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad would “welcome a permanent Russian military presence”
and Russian’s President Putin discusses plans with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, pray for
the United States to give wisdom to President Biden and our leaders in dealing with possible
future conflicts.
Deuteronomy 16:18-20 – “Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every
town the Lord you God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly Do not
pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe for a bribe blinds the eyes of
the wise and twists the words of the righteous. Follow justice and justice alone, so that
you may live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you.”
- A deadly tornado hit Mississippi, U.S., Friday evening into Saturday morning leaving 25 dead and
dozens injured. Pray for those that have lost family and friends and for those who have lost
their homes and businesses. Pray for wisdom and safety for the first responders and emergency
rescue workers.
Isaiah 40: 1, 29-31: “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. He gives strength to
the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and
young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and
not be faint.”
Continue to pray for Ukraine.
