- Pray for the funding of Planned Parenthood to end.
The Southern Baptist Convention wants “the U.S. congress to end the alleged killing of millions of preborn sons and daughters by defunding Planned Parenthood, America’s biggest abortion provider.” Pray for Planned Parenthood funding to dry up and that organizations that value life will truly help parents plan for their children. Pray for hearts to change and that parents would desire for their children to live.
Ezekiel 20:31a – “When you offer your gifts, the sacrifice of your sons in the fire, you continue to defile yourselves with all your idols to this day.”
Psalm 127:3 – “Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.”
- Pray for Christians in India.
At least fifty Christian were attacked during Sunday service last week, several were severely injured, “most were left with bruises all over their bodies after being struck with iron rods.” This continues a series of attacks, in this Hindu nation, suspected to be caused by Hindu extremists. Pray for those injured and pray for protection of all Christians as they continue to profess their faith in Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 16:13 – “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
1 Peter 1:6,7 – “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith, of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire, may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
- Continue prayers for the hostages.
Pray for the release of the remaining hostages held by Hamas as negotiations continue. Pray for an end to Hamas and their terrorist activity.
Habakkuk 1:2/2:3 – “How long, O Lord, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, “Violence!” but you do not save.” The Lord replied: “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though I linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
Psalm 1:5 – “For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.”
- Pray for the leaders of all nations.
Pray for leaders of all nations to lead in righteousness and serve their citizens well. Pray they will lead for the good of their nations and not for self-gain and that they will seek wisdom from the Lord.
Philippians 2:3 – “Do nothing out of selfish conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.
Proverbs 8:10,11 – “Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.”
