- Pray for Israel.
Attacks continue as Iran launched missiles this past week and hit an Israeli hospital injuring over two-hundred people. Pray for this war to end, for Iran to stop their nuclear weapon production, and their attacks on Israel. As conflict intensifies, President Trump must determine what U.S. military actions will be against Iran, pray for wisdom in how to best support Israel.
Daniel 2:20,21 – “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.”
Psalm 121:3,4 – “He will not let your foot slip, he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”
- Pray for an end to the persecutions in Nigeria.
Pray for people who have lost loved ones as persecutions continue in Nigeria where gunmen invaded the village of Yelewata and massacred one-hundred people, many believed to be Christians. Pray for Christians to remain steadfast even in the face of persecution.
1 Peter 5:8-10 – “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.”
- Pray for the family of the murdered Minnesota (U.S) lawmaker and her husband.
Melissa Hortman and her Husband, Mark, were killed by a gunman last week in what appeared to be a “politically motivated assassination.” Pray for surviving loved ones and pray that political violence will end.
Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Proverbs 3:31,32 – “Do not envy a violent man or choose any of is ways, for the Lord detests a perverse man but takes the upright into his confidence.”
- Pray that abortion bill does not pass in the United Kingdom.
British lawmakers voted to “decriminalize abortion up to birth.” For over one hundred-sixty years children have been protected as abortion was a crime punishable by life imprisonment. Now a bill has been presented that would support abortion at any stage to include viable unborn babies, even full-term. Pray that this bill does not get passed. Pray, regardless of what laws are in place, that parents will want to keep their babies.
Psalm 139:13, 15,16 – “For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained to me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere.
