- Iran was elected to fill two leadership committee roles, responsible for disarmament and
international security, by the United Nations. The United States and Israel are outraged as Iran
support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and due to its nuclear program, neither of which coincide
with disarmament and international security. Pray for wisdom and discernment for the leaders
of our nations, pray that they will turn to God for wise counsel.
Luke 12:48b – “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and
from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”
- As wildfires rage in Canada affecting the U.S. east coast, pray for the fires to end, pray
protection over those battling the fires, and for those exposed to health concerns due to the
unhealthy air quality. As high temperatures and dry weather conditions continue worldwide,
wildfires could become more prevalent, threatening lives, property, our natural resources, and
air quality.
Philippians 4:5-7 – “The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in
everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made
known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
- Per Worthy News, last week it was reported that 37 Chinese military aircrafts entered Taiwan’s
air defense zone. The Wall Street Journal reported that “China reached a secret agreement with
Cuba to open a spy base on the island, in Beijing’s latest display of disrespect for the Biden
administration.” This would enable China to intercept communications from southeast United
States, where multiple military bases are located, and allow monitoring of U.S. hip traffic. Pray
for protection for Tiwan and the United States against these advances from China. Again, pray
for our leaders to have wisdom on how to deal with these offenses.
Psalm 59:1-2 – “Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise
up against me. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.”
- The Russian/Ukraine war continues and this past week, with the collapse of a gigantic dam in
Southern Ukraine, (possibly blown up by Russia), tens of thousands of people were threatened
as they scrambled for safety. Many were killed or injured and homes and property loss.
Continue to pray for this war to end and for leaders of all countries to lead with integrity and
with concern for all the people they are responsible for and to and for all to turn to the Lord.
John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this
world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcover the world.”
Continue to pray for Ukraine.
