- Pray against wars/Pray for peace.

The Israel-Hamas war continues to escalate.

Henzi Halevi, Chief of Staff for Israel Defense Forces, said “the likelihood” of all-out war with Hezbollah was greater than ever” as tensions rise on the Israel/Lebanon border.

“Nuclear-armed Pakistan and increasingly nuclear capable Iran were dangerously moving toward all-out war Thursday as Pakistan responded to an Iranian missile attack killing at least nine people, several sources say.,” per Worthy News.

“NATO Holding Largest Exercise in Decades as Europe Prepares For War,” headline in Worthy News. 90,000 troops will be participating in exercises to assess its ability for an armed conflict with possible adversaries like Russia.

The Russian/Ukraine war continues.

Complete peace will only happen on earth when Christ returns. Meanwhile, we need to pray for peace between individuals and nations, pray for conflicts to be resolved without the killing.

James 4:1-3 – “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don’t get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your

pleasures.”

Proverbs 12:20 – “There is deceit in the hearts of those who plot evil, but joy for those who promote peace.”

- Pray for wisdom as technology continues to increase.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) reported that approximately 40% of jobs worldwide could be replaced by Artificial Intelligence (AI). IMF warned “that this technological shift in the global job market would intensify social inequalities and potentially lead to increased social unrest.,” per Worthy News. Although AI could produce increased productivity, it could also lower labor demands, which could lead to lower wages and reduced hiring. Pray for wisdom in AI development that it would benefit humanity and not bring about a demise.

Isaiah 55:8-9 – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Proverbs 14:12 – “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”

- Pray for those being persecuted India.

There has been a surge in violent incidents against believers, reports Christian Today India. On the US Open Doors World Watch List for 2023, India ranks 11th out of fifty countries. Pray for persecuted believers in India and around the world.

Proverbs 14:32 – “When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous have a refuge.”

- Pray for Jewish people around the world.

Antisemitic incidents are increasing in the United States, with at least 3,283 reported between October 7, 2023, and January 7, 2024. Incidents include assaults, harassment, and vandalism. Worthy News reported “upheaval resembling the Nazi era” in Germany and Italy. Pray for this hatred toward the Jewish people to stop. Pray for Jewish people to accept Jesus as their Savior.

Romans11:25-27 – “I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited; Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”
