-          Pray for Sumatra.

Indonesia’s Sumatra Island has been experiencing monsoons bringing continual downpours, triggering massive flooding and landslides. Over one hundred people have been killed in the area, thousands have been displaced, and homes and crops destroyed. Rescue and aid efforts have been hindered by blocked roads, power outages, and no phone service. People need food, safe water, and fresh clothes. Pray, especially for Christians, as Muslims are receiving aid while Christians are being overlooked. Pray for an end to natural disasters and for aid to reach people in need.

Lamentations 3:22-25 – “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.”

 

-          Pray for Rwanda and Congo.

President Trump, United States, hosted a signing of a peace pact in attempt to end the 30-year conflict in eastern Congo between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is hoped that this pact will be a critical step toward eventual peace, even as fighting continues, and that it could be a turning point to leave years of violence and bloodshed behind. Pray for peace and violence to end.

Psalm 34:15,16 – “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.”    

 

-          Pray for Gaza.

Continue to pray for Gaza as Phase 2 of the Peace Plan is being planned despite breaching of the ceasefire. No agreement currently exists but pray for postwar plans to move forward to benefit Gaza and its people.

Proverbs 28:28 – “When the wicked rise in power, people go into hiding, but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.

Proverbs 29:2 – “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.

 

-          Pray for wisdom for the United States as they plan military strikes inside Venezuela.

As President Trump attempts to dismantle narcotic networks to “Protect American lives amid a resurgent opioid and cocaine crisis,” he plans attacks on “Anybody that’s doing that (producing) and selling it into our country is subject to attack.” Pray for wisdom for those making decisions on how to deal with this situation, for individuals and families that have been adversely affected by illegal substances, and for producers and sellers of these drugs to be convicted buy the Holy Spirit and stop this activity and come to Jesus.

Proverbs 2:6-8 – “For the Lord gives wisdom, and from is mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.”

Psalm 73:27 – “Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.”

 

   

 -          Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
