- Pray for Maui wildfires to cease in Hawaii. The death toll is up to 55, communities are destroyed, and countless number of people are homeless. Historic and cultural sites have been destroyed hospitals are filled and there are not enough long-term shelters available. The Maui Wildfire has been declared a “major disaster” and described by one man as “it felt like we were in hell.” Pray for those who have suffered loss of loved ones, health, homes, and businesses. Pray for emergency teams. Pray for the peace of Jesus to surround Maui and that many may come to know the Lord in this time of crises that they may escape eternal hell through God’s grace.

Psalm 9:9 – “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”

- Pray for Georgia as 17 people are dead and more missing in a landslide in the Shovi area due to

heavy rainfall and recent erosion issues. Not only are they experiencing loss of lives and homes

but also welfare due to the loss of tourism. Tourism has been a help to overcome the country’s

communist past when it was part of the Soviet Union, and this disaster has caused a setback in

their economy. Pray for those who suffer loss and pray for a comeback to their tourism to help

provide a sound economy for their country.

Psalm 41:1 – “Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord delivers him in times

of trouble.”

- Pray for those involved in a train crash in Pakistan. Thirty people are dead and a hundred injured when a train derailed in Nawanshahr. There have been major accidents “on Pakistan’s antiquated railway system already killing hundreds of people since 2005, according to official data.” Pray for those who lost loved ones, the injured, and for the government to be responsible and meet the need to update the railway system for their countrymen.

Deuteronomy 16:18 – “Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town

the Lord your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly.”

- Pray for nationwide crime to cease in the United States. Pray for our Nation’s Capital, Washington D.C. as there has been a 37 percent increase in violet crime in 2023. According to CBN News, “The D.D Council recently passed emergency legislation aimed at addressing the surge in crime by making it easier to detain criminals ahead of trial. The bill also imposes more serious penalties for certain crimes and expedites court cases involving child victims.” Pray not only for changes in the laws to punish the guilty and protect the innocent, but for a change in the hearts of people to seek peace and righteousness, not hate and violence. Foreign governments have been warning citizens planning to visit D.C. of the surging number of crimes. Pray for peace.

Psalm 55:9 and 23 – “Confuse the wicked, O Lord, confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city” – “But you, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days, But as for me, I trust in you.”

- Pray for freedom to worship our God. Indonesia’s Constitution specifically protects religious freedom, but Islamic government authorities deny permits for Christian congregations to meet and worship in their own buildings. Pray for freedom to worship for all Christians and thank Him for Christian freedoms you currently possess.

John 8:32 – “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
