-          Pray for war between Russia and Ukraine to end.

Talks of plans for peace continue but attacks on Ukraine continue and in retaliation, Ukraine strikes back. The result, more people die. Pray for an end to this fighting and killing and let peace flow through these countries.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 – “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession

and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

-          Prayers for Sudan.

The Darfur region in western Sudan is running out of food and is under “constant artillery and drone barrages.” Sudan’s army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces are in a two-year war that is believed to have killed 150,000 people. The United Nations is calling it “the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.” Young and old are malnourished and neither side is sympathetic to their needs. Christians are being targeted and persecuted. Pray for an end to this fighting and for provision for all in need.

Matthew 25:45 – “He will answer them, I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you failed to do one of these things to someone who was being overlooked or ignored, that was me, you failed to do it to me.”

James 2:14 – “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?”

-          Pray for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

On July 27, 2025, forty-nine Christians, including nine children, were attacked and beheaded during a church service by Islamic state-affiliated jihadists, as the church attendees were praying for peace. Amid the hardships Christians have experienced in DRC, the church has flourished. Pray for their faith to continue to grow, pray for their protection, and for an end to this persecution.

Matthew 5:10 – “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Mark 13:13 “All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

_            Pray for Israel.

Pray as Israel seeks the full dismantling of Hamas, unconditional return of all hostages, and for Gaza to be transitioned to Arab forces to be “governed properly and provide a good life for Gazans.”

Hebrews 4:16 – “So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive his mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need.”

-          Shout out praise for Portland, Oregon, U.S.

A two-day event in Portland, gathered 35,000 people to worship with over 3,200 making the decision to follow Christ. Senior Pastor Meador, of Athey Creek Church, hosting the event prayed, “may the light of Jesus Christ shine brighter than even before in Portland and beyond.”

Psalm 100:4 – “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”

Matthew 5:15,16 – “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow      for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.”

  -          Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere. Continue to pray for Israel.
