- “Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February last year, hundreds of thousands of troops and
civilians are believed to have been killed or injured, and millions have been displaced.” (Worthy
News) Pray for this war to end and pray for other nations where there are threats of war.
Hebrews 12:14 – “Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy;
without holiness no one will see the Lord.”
- Pray for wisdom for countries moving toward digital currency. Concerns of this financial method
include more governmental control, no provision for alternatives, could make cash transaction
hard or non-existence, and could allow tracking of where funds are spent. The question is
“What will it do that current systems don’t?”, not sure that answer has been found.
2 Peter 1:2-3 – “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness
through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through
these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you
may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by
evil desires.”
- Mississippi (U.S.) governor, Tate Reeves, signed 8 Pro-Life measures into law. (Check out Worthy
News to learn more details). Pray that other states and countries will choose life and laws to
protect our children.
Psalms 1:1 – “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or
stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.”
- There is prediction of a possible global rice shortage due to extreme weather condition in major
rice-producing countries and due to Ukrainian grain exports being blocked. These events have
driven up the price of rice worldwide and could severely impacts 3.5 billion people in the Asia-
Pacific region where rice is an essential food. Pray for rice (food) availability at prices people can
afford. Pray as to how you can help people in need.
Romans 12:13 – “Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”
- Prayers are requested and needed as the deadly violence and instability continue in Sudan.
Hundreds of diplomats were evacuated last week, but the people of Sudan and the Christians
residing there could see an increase in persecution. Pray for their protection and that Christians
can stand firm.
1 Corinthians 16:13 – “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith: be men of courage; be
strong.”
- Also pray for Eritrea, an African country ranking fourth on the World Watch List. Last month
police arrested and detained 103 Christian college students at a worship event. Reports say
Eritrea is, “Known as the worst governmental violator of religious freedom in Africa,” – from
Worthy News. Pray for those suffering persecution.
Psalm 31:34 – “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”
