-Prayer needed in many areas around the world as Christian persecution continues.

  • Reverend Samson, former president of the Kachin Baptist Convention was sentenced to six

years imprisonment by a Myanmar/Burma court. The charge against him for speaking out

against the Myanmar military’s barbaric atrocities against the people of Myanmar. Myanmar

currently ranks 14 th , out of the top fifty countries, on the World Watch List for Christian

persecutions.

  • 5,068 Christians in Nigeria were murdered by Islamic jihadists, due to their faith, in 2022.

There have been over 1,000 murders already this year. There are outreach organizations

that realize what is happening in Nigeria, however, the Nigerian government is not being

held accountable for the slaughter of Christians.

  • Eight years of civil war in Yemen has led to much suffering. Two thirds of the country need

humanitarian assistance, according to the United Nations, including Christians. Yemen is the

third country on the World Watch List for Christian persecutions.

1 st Peter 1:6 – “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have

had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.”

Matthew 24:12-13 – “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow

cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

- Pray for Christians in government positions, for those involved in educational systems and in the

medical profession. Pray for them to have boldness to stand firm on God’s Word and to uphold

His Word. Pray for protection for them, their families, and their staff. In Utah, U.S., a law

maker’s home was vandalized as he is standing firm on his opposition to transgender medical

treatment for minors.

Luke 21:17-19 – “All men will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will

perish. Buy standing firm you will gain life.”

- Pray for Israel in this time filled with continued conflict and for the Jewish people as they

remembered the Holocaust last week. Six million Jews died and many more suffered un the Nazi

regime.

On April 18, George posted in Worthy Brief: “We need to be praying for the Jewish

people. We need to be pouring out much love upon them as we await the complete

restoration which God has foreordained. As the Scriptures say, salvation is of the Jews

(John 4:22). They were set aside because unbelief, bringing God’s grace to the Gentiles.

But. . .”if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance

be but life from the dead?” (Romans 11:15).”

Continue to pray for Ukraine.
