Fear Not – Pray

Last post I asked for continued pray efforts to end abortion everywhere, for wise government leadership in all nations, prayer against and/or how to prepare for potential food shortages, and unity in families, churches, and the nations. However, many walk-in fear regarding these issues and more as the news/media continues to list ongoing concerns about Covid, random shootings, increasing prices of gas and most everything else, investment rates going down, starvation, droughts, wars, political strife, and unrest everywhere. The list could go on and on to create fear in our hearts and in the world. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10. The thief, Satan, comes to steal, kill, and destroy our peace, our lives and to fill us with fear. The only fear we should have is that found in the following scripture verses: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” Psalm111:10. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” Proverbs 9:10 and in Proverbs 14:26 “He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge.”

We must walk out our time on earth in faith, not fear as Psalm 118:6 declares, “The Lord is with me, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Turn in your Bibles and read Psalm 27 in its entirety. It begins in verse one, “The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall, I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?” Also, find comfort in reading Matthew 10:29-30 and in Luke 12:4-7, “Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” For you did not receive a spirit that make you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.” Romans 8:15. Pick up the shield of faith, “See, he is puffed up, his desires are not upright – but the righteous will live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4. Therefore, stand firm in your faith and do not be swayed by the fear, see 1 Peter 1:3-9.

In all things be obedient to the Word of the Lord, walk in His ways and love as “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18. Pray over each “fear” listed at the beginning of this post, pray for fear to leave your nation, and pray against every fear Satan has tried to plant in you personally. Live by faith and live in love and “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” Isaiah 41:10.
