- Pray for Nigeria.
Last week flooding occurred in Niger (Central Nigeria), killing over one hundred people and submerging over three thousand homes.
Christian persecution continues in Nigeria as over one hundred people were killed last week and five thousand displaced by Islamist militants. Pray for all those who lost loved ones and for the thousands who have been left homeless.
Psalm 9:18-20 – “But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish. Arise, O Lord, let not man triumph; let the nations be judged in your present. Strike them with terror, O Lord; let the nations know they are but men.”
- Pray for Ukraine.
Peace talks continue but the war goes on between Russia and Ukraine. However, in Ukraine there is “revival in the rubble,” as spiritual awakening is taking root. David Karcha, a Ukrainian evangelist, stated, “in a time of war, the Gospel is unstoppable.” Even though church buildings lack electric and heat, they have become a “spiritual hospital” to the broken people in this war-torn nation. Karcha continues, “The church is not a structure that can be bombed or bound. It is a body that moves forward, even through smoke and fire!” Continue to pray for peace between these nations and for revival to fall through Ukraine.
Psalm 3:1,3,8 – “O Lord, how many are my foes? How men rise up against me? But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.”
- Pray against nuclear enrichment in Iran.
Despite negotiations between Iran and the United States, Iran has rejected the U.S. proposal, and the nuclear crisis continues. This coupled with communications between Iran and Russia is setting off European and global alarms. Pray for peace and for the leaders of these nations to desire peace.
Psalm 2:1,2,4 – “Why do the nations conspire, and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One. The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.”
- Pray for South Korea.
The election of President Lee Jae-myung, a liberal opposition leader, promotes political change and church leaders are hoping and praying for a time of humility, unity, and revival. Since the 1960’s the church in South Korea has grown and “the country is now home to one of the largest concentrations of megachurches in the world.” Pray for the politics of this country and for revival as they usher in a new president. Rev. Choi stated, “Political change may last five years. But revival – true revival- can last a generation.”
Proverbs 11:14 – “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure.”
Proverbs 29:2a – “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice”
Psalm 51:10,12 – “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me.”
- Pray for President Trump, United States.
President Trump confirmed “there will be no proclamation recognizing June as “Pride Month.” A growing coalition of conservation law makers are working to reclaim June for tradition values to officially designate June as “Family Month.”
Joshua 24:15 – “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
- Pray for Rain in Europe.
Fifty percent of Europe and the Mediterranean are facing a water crisis as drought hits record levels. Record setting heat waves and irregular rainfall are impacting the shirking water reserves.
Zechariah 10:1 – “Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who makes the storm clouds. He gives showers of rain to men, and plants of the field to everyone.
Philippians 4:6 - “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.”
- Continue to pray for abortion to end everywhere.
