- Pray for Suweida, Syria.
Violent upheaval in the war-torn southern province of Syria, has led to the martyrdom of Pastor Khaled Mezhir who was killed along with his wife, parents, and extended family. They stood firm through persecution and now “he and his family rest in glory.” Pray for the flock in Suweida for their protection, provision, strength, and wisdom as they are surrounded by fierce fighting between Druze militias and Sunni Bedouin factions.
Matthew 5:10 – “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 24:12,13 – “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

- Pray for those who mourn.
In Dhaka, Bangladesh many mourn after thirty plus people were killed and many injured after an Air Force training aircraft crashed into a college and school campus.

Pray for all those who have lost loved ones and for healing for those injured.
Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
- Pray for an end to the wave of antisemitic incidents across Europe.
An Israeli cruise ship was blocked and Israeli tourists denied disembarking in Greece by pro-Palestinian protestors. Hundreds of people, including 750 Christians, formed a human-chain in Munich to protect the main synagogue as aggressive pro-Palestinians protesters march by. Groups of Israelis and individuals have been assaulted across Europe. Neil Bar, an expert on radical ideologies, stated that assaults are being “based solely on ethic and religious identity.” Gallia Lindenstrauss, of Tel Aviv University’s Institute for National Security Studies agrees and stated it is not just about graffiti or angry slogans it is about Jewish people not feeling safe to walk down the street. Lindenstrauss stated “history has taught us what happens when such hatred goes unchecked.” Pray for Jewish people and for the antisemitic behavior and hate to end.
Zechariah 2:8 – “For this is what the Lord Almighty says: After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you, for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye.”
- Pray for all those accepting the Gospel.
At Crossroads Camp in Anderson, South Carolina (United States), Pastor Clayton King has seen more than two thousand students give their lives to Jesus this summer. Another praise, from the United States, Christian and gospel music is experiencing a surge as people look for hope.
Colossians 3:16,17 – “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
